Volunteering for Centenary

Would you like to hike over the Pyrenees or take part in a race of hot-air balloons with your Guides? Or perhaps you’d prefer to organise a Girlguiding UK circus and see girls develop their skills as acrobats, jugglers and clowns?

Volunteer for the Centenary and you could be the leader of a once-in-a-lifetime activity like these. You’ll take part in a truly rewarding and enjoyable event that you’ll remember for years to come.

Interested? Then tell us about your skills, experience and what you would like to do by emailing us today. Or look out for adverts for volunteer positions in Guiding magazineand on the Centenary website. Projects and pilots will take place over the next five years and positions will be advertised as required.

We will try to place applicants in positions that put their skills and abilities to best use. However, while every attempt is made to place applicants, acceptance is not automatic. Volunteers will be restricted to one Centenary volunteer role at any one time.

Thank you to all of you who responded to the September 2005 call for volunteers. Applications continue to be processed and more information will be given in the new year.
