Privacy

When uploading each photo you are asked to set the privacy level, by selecting 'Private (only you see them)'. Please do this for all photos of members of Girlguiding UK under 16. You will know that you have completed this accurately as a red symbol appears next to the photo.

Please note that when you post a private photo onto a group they become visible on the group and to members of the public. The photos then rely on the security of the group.

Photos which are not private will not be added to the group pool as this contravenes Girlguiding UK’s rules for this site. We will email you and ask you to change the setting or remove the photos form Flickr.

Girlguiding UK leaders taking part in this project have a responsibly for all the photos they upload on to the Flickr site to ensure that:

  • They have permission from parents/carers of members under 16 to upload the photos to Flickr and that Girlguiding UK can use the photos.
  • The privacy settings are set so that photos of members of Girlguiding UK, cannot be widely available to users of Flickr.

Because we need leaders to verify that they have permission for these photos we are unable to allow members under 18 to upload photos to the group.
