Catch The Moment
We are pleased to announce Jessops as the proud sponsors of
our Centenary Photography Competition - Catch the Moment. Go to the Instruction page for a step by step guide
to signing up for Flickr and uploading photos..
Catch the Moment launches in September 2009 and the competition
runs until the Centenary Finale (20:10 20/10 2010).
Members of all ages are asked to record their Centenary moments
through photography and film.
Members will be able to upload their photos to the Flickr
website from September 2009 until November 2010.
There are six categories to choose from and entry in a
category is based on the age of the member at the time they took
the photo. There is also a 30 second film category.
The categories for photograph submissions are:
- Rainbows (5 - 7 years)
- Brownies (7 - 10 years)
- Guides (10 - 14 years)
- Senior Section Member (14 - 25 years)
- Adults (18+ years)
The Prizes
Winners will be voted by members of Girlguiding UK.
Grand Prize
The Grand Prize winner will be
selected out of every photography entry received and they will win
£500 worth of Jessops vouchers and their winning photograph
featured on the cover of guiding magazine.
Category prizes
The winners of the six photo categories and the film category will
receive £250 worth of Jessops vouchers and a photo shoot for you
and your guiding friends to become the 'cover girls' for
Girlguiding UK in 2011.
Winners in each of the photo categories will also receive a
framed and mounted copy of their winning photo.
The film category winner will not receive the framed photo.
Runners up
Runners up in each category
will receive a £25 Jessops voucher.
