New to Girlguiding UK?

If you’d like to find out more about Girlguiding UK and maybe have a go at getting involved then you’ve come along at just the right time! We’re about to start our biggest birthday celebrations ever – a whole year of events and projects to celebrate our Centenary so why not join us.

Already a member?

Many of the Centenary events and projects will be recruiting volunteers during 2010 to deliver activities, act as stewards etc. These roles will be available for both adult Leaders and Senior Section members.
Whatever the volunteer role, you'll be guaranteed a truly rewarding and enjoyable experience that you'll remember for years to come!

You can also help by giving to the Centenary Fund.

Local guiding will also need volunteers, please talk to your
County Commissioner or County Centenary Champion.

Roles currently available are:

• Centenary Camp volunteer roles
• Story gatherers wanted.
• Fusion volunteer roles
• RHS Hampton Court Flower Show volunteer roles

Application process

If you are interested in any of the roles available, please apply using the application form stating which appointment you would like and your experience and qualifications for the position. Unless otherwise stated you will also need to get two references completed, one of which needs to be from a guiding contact.

For most of the Centenary events we now have a lead volunteer and planning team in place however new roles are routinely advertised in guiding magazine and here on the website. Your application will be sent on to the relevant lead volunteer who will coordinate the selection and recruitment of volunteers for their event/project. 

Already submitted an application?

If you have already submitted an application form to be a Centenary volunteer and would like to be considered for any newly advertised roles or would like to update your details, there is no need to submit a new application.
