Brownies Take Over the Tracks

North Yorkshire Moors Railway

Saturday 26th June 2010

This event has now taken place!

600 members took part in Take Over the Tracks in North Yorkshire in June.

The journey began at Pickering or Grosmont, where Brownies boarded a non-stop train for a magical journey to Grosmont or Pickering. The day included a number of activities both on the train and at Grosmont.

They had the most fantastic day with glorious weather (although this resulted in a Firecon2 Warning on the Moors, so they couldn’t have steam all the way – but better than rain!!) and much fun was had at Grosmont with entertainers and a birthday cake!!

The girls enjoyed activities including a bouncy castle and circus skills.

Pete Waterman also appeared at Grosmont station and several members had their photos taken with him.
