What is it?
Participants will
be given an opportunity to visit South East Asia and immerse
themselves in its culture. Spend a day in Bangkok, Thailand before
taking the overnight train (an adventure in itself) to Chiang Mai,
the Rose of the North. Visit temples and Buddhas during the day and
try out their bargaining skills at Chiang Mai’s famous Night
Bazaar. Next it’s time to visit the hill tribes and have an
elephant ride. After a further day in Thailand they will cross the
mighty Mekong River to enter Laos and take a two-day slow-boat trip
along the Mekong,visiting villages along the way. They will then go
up into the mountains kayaking or bike riding through the villages
before flying back to Bangkok for the flight home.

go?
Members aged 14 to 25.
Where is it?
Thailand and
Laos, flying from London.
When is it?
Sunday 25 July to
Saturday 7 August 2010.
What else do I need to
know?
This is an opportunity to explore South East Asia
with some comfort but it does require a spirit of adventure.
Showers and electricity may be in short supply in some places.
