Adventures

Centenary Adventures encompasses a great variety of opportunities for members of all sections to experience their mountain top moment.

Your mountain top moment will be an experience you have that is like no other; something that you may have always wanted to do but haven’t had the chance.

The Centenary Adventures are designed specifically for our Centenary and are not just any type of trip, residential or day out – You can only be a part of these exciting Adventures because you are a member of Girlguiding UK.

There are 2 types of Adventures to choose from:

• Book and Go – These are pre-organised Adventures, from days out to international trips and challenges. The Book and Go Adventures will be covered in detail in the Ways to Celebrate catalogue and booking information will be available on this website - so keep checking back for more information as they will be regularly updated!

• The themes are specific to each section of Girlguiding UK  and offer a great opportunity for individual interpretation. The themes are:

  • Rainbows Go Wild!
  • The Big Brownie Takeover
  • The Great Guide Getaway
  • The Ultimate Centenary Adventure (for the Senior Section).

  Members aged 18 plus can take part in Centenary Tours for Adults or Charity Challenges

• Adult members can now attend the Ultimate Isle of Man adventure!

• Create Your Own – You will be able to use the Adventure themes as inspiration to create your own local events and special days.

The Centenary Tours for Adults are great opportunities to travel around the UK  by coach taking in historical sites and places of guiding interest too.

There are three Charity Challenges - adventurous trips for adult members and Senior Section members aged 18+ giving the opportunity to raise money for the new Centenary Fund whilst taking on a personal challenge abroad.
